Hello! Let's start by wishing you all a happy New Year! I live in Bécon les Granits; it's a small town. I live in the countryside in the middle of the forests and fields. My village is east of Angers. During the Christmas holidays I saw my friends, and I also went to an ice rink. For Christmas I got an electric guitar then I celebrated New Year's with friends. Bye. QUENTIN

Hello! I’ll tell you what has been happening with me since I wrote to you last: I’ve lived the same old routine – having lessons from Monday to Friday. I did some climbing on Friday evening with a friend. During the weekend, I saw a group friends with whom I spent Saturday afternoon. I visited some family relatives on Sunday. That’s it! Talk to you soon.

Critique of the movie ‘Bowling for Columbine’:
I think that the film was produced well. Michael Moore, a very famous film director, portrays the madness surrounding weapons in the United States - the murders and the atrocious incidents involving weapons very well. The interviews conducted in the film are of quality. During the film, the protest against “K-mart” for producing and supplying ammunitions is shown. This action against the sale of arms was good and wonderful. The humour was good and the subject discussed was very complex.

Hello, I’m having a really good holiday. I’m taking maximum advantage of it. During this week I saw many friends, went out in the evenings, and visited the mount "Saint Michel" (Mont St Michel). That is what I have been doing in my first week of holidays. Bye! Quentin

In France, the traditions celebrated by families are Christmas, Easter, New Years, and 14 July (National Day/Bastille Day). There are special meals and dishes that we have on these holidays that we have in France. For example, at Christmas we eat Foie Gras.
