I chose the city is Cannes. Cannes is a French commune located along the Mediterranean Sea, in the Alpes-Maritimes and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, and has a population of 73,372 inhabitants.
Cannes is now world-famous for its film festivals and Promenade de la Croisette surrounded by palaces.
Its inhabitants are called "Cannois".

Cannes is located west of the Alpes-Maritimes on the Cote d'Azur in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, bordering the Mediterranean Sea in what is commonly called "la baie de Cannes" or"golfe de La Napoule". The municipality occupies a total area of 1 962 hectares. This area is largely urbanized along the coast and preserves blank spaces to the north.
Cannes is located 690 km southeast of Paris.

Originally Cannes was a small Mediterranean village of fishermen and monks. It is impossible to talk about the history of Cannes without mentioning the islands of Lerins.
